Force Majeure biography
In October 1996 László Kovács and Zsolt Vidovenyecz encountered each other at an information technology exhibition in Debrecen and expressed their interest in music over computers. They became friends and formed a group, Force Majeure. The name was based on a Tangerine Dream release. Their music reflected the sound of the classic band who were pioneers of the electronic music scene, and thus it was a mark of respect.

Laci had formed a band called Imaginary Zenith in 1993 with a schoolfriend but things did not work out. Laci then joined Network, a group formed by Atilla Sipos, a keyboardist and guitarist and over the next two years compositions were created such as 'Lonely Wolf', until the musical themes became more electronic and Force Majeure was formed.

The band played in 1998 alongside a small laser light show to augment the space rock sounds emanating from the keyboards. The first major concert followed on the 10th August in Veszprem. In 1999 Laci and a school mate discussed the upcoming solar eclipse and thus the music was created to mirror this event. The music focused on the beauty of nature and the eclipse itself performed the evening prior to the eclipse. The music was reorchestrated and became the "Total Eclipse" album released 30th July 1999.

A video was made of this concert called "'Future Lights". Force Majeure performed a laser light concert on 19th April 2002, at the University of Debrecen, called 'Lovarda'. Recently the band have released another album called "Galaxy" in 2002 but have stopped performing live. Three album's worth of material have been composed, but have not been released. The band resolved to make a comeback to the prog scene due to the fact that many other bands have chosen the name of Force Majeure, they decided on the 16th of February 2010, to change their name to Pergamoon.

The musicians are focused on bringing music that is emotional and that can bring out feelings of the soul, with majestic arrangements and innovation. They have been compared to mid period Vangelis at times such is the style of the music. The keyboard driven music will appeal to those who admire Tangerine Dream or Vangelis. The duo have two albums that are worth dipping into for electronic keyboard fans.
