about

Alongside the diverse selection of TV and radio themes presented on ‘Mystery Fields’ (and subsequent volumes of the ongoing ‘Sound Library’), The British Stereo Collective provided the score to the epic 1979 science fiction film ‘Tomorrow, the Stars’.

Alternately melodic and abstract, the film’s score utilised traditional classical instrumentation, as well as the latest synthesisers; and that old sci-fi and horror staple, the mighty Theremin!

EDIT: I've just added the continuous Side A/Side B tracks to the album. Be aware, these are the VINYL MASTERS. If there's a few you wanting it, I'll see how quickly I can get proper digital masters from Antony. Just let me know.

Vinyl subscribers have already started receiving these, pressed on orange vinyl and including an abridged 8 page facsimile of the original movie programme. There's a PDF of the programme uploaded here too.

Phil Heeks’ second LP for Castles in Space (and his first for the CiS Subscription Library) is an electronic/symphonic hybrid, balancing traditional classical scoring with ambient and hard electronica.
