The first terrestrial probe capable of faster than light travel is launched.
Two months later the probe arrives in orbit around the first extra-solar planet ever to be visited by human technology, the incredible super-earth code-named JANUS.
Located in the goldilocks zone of its main sequence star, JANUS has a surface area eight times the size of the earth. It has an atmosphere, large bodies of water, and incredible landscapes.
JANUS supports extra-terrestrial life.
As the probe moves through the three-ring-system surrounding the planet, images and data are gathered and transmitted back to Earth.
To provide data redundancy in case of transmission code-errors, all telemetry and images are transmitted in the form of music.
This is a selection of unedited extracts from the probe's transmission.
