This amazing collection of artists and music all came together for one purpose. To honor and support a wonderful human being. Someone who is a friend to, and staunch supporter of, us all. Wolfgang Gsell. Or as we are fond of calling him, SIR Wolfgang!
I don't need to make this a testimonial to his kindness, his sense of comradery, his selflessness on behalf of us all. We are already well aware of what an amazing person he is. And how prolific an artist he is, from his incredible photos, his creative and intelligent radio shows, to his ever changing and expanding musical repertoire. As a mutual friend put it so well, he is the glue. I personally have met so many other artists through Wolfgang; been so inspired by his music, his generosity, and his humanity. And his friendship, which never wavers, is always there for you.
I have Martin Neuhold to thank for the concurrent idea to create a special show to honor Wolfgang, and send him well wishes and support through our words and music during his recent hospital stay. The response to our call was immediate and powerful! I was amazed. This in itself is a testimonial. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, I was not able to have all of the pieces I received in the show. But they are all on this amazing album! SO, please enjoy the collective music you sent to our friend Wolfgang Gsell .
