Our mini album "Homage" is dedicated to the memory of Klaus Schulze and Vangelis that passed away earlier this year.
Thaneco:
"Me and Romerium were in the process of writing our next album "Machine" when suddenly we learned the news of Klaus Schulze's death. As if this was not tragic enough, a few days later another legend of electronic music, Vangelis, died in a hospital in France. We decided to write two tracks for these two legends that played a significant role not only to the development of our music writing but to millions of other artists around the world.
Klaus Schulze and Vangelis Papathanasiou were some of my main influences when I decided to write my own music under the name Thaneco. I was always amazed by the way Schulze was writing his long electronic compositions, the clever use of the analog sequencers and synthesizers. I was impressed by the big Moog modular synth he played in his live concerts and the way he sat in front of it, making a psychic connection between him and the machines. From Vangelis I loved his emotional melodies drenched in long reverb and the big and impressive pads (made with his favourite synth, the Yamaha CS-80). "Bladerunner" and "Charriots Of Fire" soundtracks were the reason I decided that I wanted to follow music as a profession and to start writing my own musical ideas.
Schulze and Vangelis have something in common. Its the way they approach music writing. Their style is genuine and come from the need to express their soul. They were not concerned about music industry. They wanted to explore the microcosm and macrocosm of life through their art.
So that is the reason I was influenced not only by their music but also by their ethos.
Their music work is immortal and will continue to influence many more generations of artists around the world.

This is a wonderfully laid-back release and one that I regularly enjoy as I'm falling asleep. The music gently takes me away from the stresses and strains of the everyday and places me into a state of deep sleep. Highly recommended for inner space voyagers - you won't be disappointed.
