This EP is a collection of excavated psychedelic odds and ends from throughout the last 20 years.

-"Night Howl" and "Cosmic Light" were started for a collaboration that never occurred.
-"Miner" is a psyched-up instrumental version of an old folksong I recorded titled "The Old Miner"

This is followed by three rejigged tracks recorded all the way back in 2001. I was listening to a lot of Hawkwind back then, to say the least, which is shown in the spoken-word "The Adventures of John Ernest Smith," the conclusion of an unwritten Victorian fantasy novel; and "Transmission from Terra," an alien's postapocalyptic impression of our sorry civilization.

Finally, "The New Man" is very likely the strangest song I have ever written...or will ever write.
