Curiously named after a remote Norwegian island in Southern Atlantic, Bouvet?ya is the EM project by the Irish electronic composer and musician Michael Jones, based in Dublin, Ireland. He produces old school melodic electronica and ambient soundscapes.
Heavily influenced by a style of electronic music commonly referred to as Berlin School, Bouvetøya generates an eclectic mix of sequences, beats, pads, echoes, mellotrons, modulars, creating soundscapes which often break out into structured melodies before going off on an aural cosmic tangent into the stellar unknown.

This unofficial album features the best Ambient / Berlin School tracks by Bouvetøya taken from several sources. They remain unreleased so far.
