The young French composer Frédéric MAILLET is a devoted disciple of the Seventies electronic musics scene. That's what he proves with his first opus "Inlandsis", published in the year 2005 on the Dreaming label, describing a polar expedition. The first thing that grabs your attention is the length of the tracks. Two suites for about one hour of music: here's something that will drive some people to tears, the old fans of the best pieces by Klaus SCHULZE and ASH RA TEMPEL in first place ! On a musical point of view, one could find a real melting-pot of influences, a synthesis of all that could have been done before by the masters of the genre.
