On A Sense of Impending Levitation you get a collection of very good "Prog - New Age - Ambient" pieces of instrumental music. John Luttrell is a very talented musician and composer that can handle all the afore mentioned styles of music, often doing it in the same song. The music is mostly delicate and emotional but sometimes does venture into more intense territories.

Even though A Sense of Impending Levitation is absolutely not a derivative album, I'm convinced that fans of Vangelis, Jean-Michel Jarre, Kit Watkins and all symphonic electronic music will really get into this latest effort by John Luttrell.
