After his interesting album "Light At The Edge Of Darkness", Newton expands his interest in analog sequences on this CD-R. Just listen to the second track "Impulse" and you know what I mean. It is built up over a great sequence and beautiful digital sounds. That also counts for fine pieces like "Deflation" and "Luminescent Eyes". The climax is "Confluence" which, as a lot of the music on "Light..." has a soundtrack-ability. It contains a great haunting sequence, a fine melody and nice solo's (although I wouldn't use a sampled panflute but that is something personal) and it is build up in a great way.
