MySpace | Facebook NIGHTSATAN, extraordinary three-piece cinematic synthorchestra, released "MIDNIGHT LASER WARRIOR", their long-awaited stunning debut album to a acclaimed debut single Steel Diamond. The band consists of three musicians, the two of them play synthesizers, and one of them plays drums. They call their own music lasermetal and refuse to use any loops or pre-programmed sequences. Everything you hear is played live! Drums are played on electric drumpads and numerous synthesizers are played through evil distortion pedals. Their timeless take on soundtracks, metal, synthesizers and melancholy is proving hard to resist. The groups' biggest influences are the Italian group Goblin, American film director and composer John Carpenter and Finnish doom metal bands. Midnight Laser Warrior teems with the stirring, arpeggiator-inducing deluges of rhythm and sound, swelling waves of melodic, cinematic analog synth ride atop a broad bass-sound and drum foundation. Sequences of repetition roll, build, and unfold with the measured patience of master artisans. Ominous analogue synth groans, lumbering hardware sequencer arpeggiations, proto-disco drums with sweatband roto-tom fills, and deep basslines slowed to a coma patient's heartbeat, revealing hidden anomie and dread. An album with a moving, breathing mass of symphonic sound; Nightsatan creates boundless moving cinematic pictures that are nothing short of breathtaking. The debut album is produced and mixed by brilliant acid‐house guru Jori Hulkkonen and mastered by Circle's Jussi Lehtisalo. Nightsatan's music is exciting, timeless, adventurous, and fun. In Finland and abroad, especially in U.S. they have had nicely airplay, a lot of media attention and substantial amount of gigs in Finland and Sweden for a quite new band. It's hard to describe, as you can see, but the results are fantastic. Imagine the essence of J. Carpenter, Goblin, Kavinsky and doom metal distilled into one group, and you're close to the magic.
