My latest collection of material "1976" is probably the best example of this; the focus is on producing music with instruments from the early to mid 70's, to maintain a certain sound; yet the inspiration, whilst being drawn from Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, and even some "Prog Rock" acts, is mashed up so that the tracks are less individual tributes and more a collective nod to all of these influences.
