п»їIF YOU IGNORE YOUR HEALTH, IT WILL GO AWAY! In 1997 after traveling to all 50 States and several countries Dr Stan Harris collapsed out of exhaustion. He regained his health after making some radical dietary changes, and taking nutritional products that provided his body with the needed nutrients. Dr Harris started doing Health Seminars almost biweekly in response to many request from people who saw and heard of the drastic changes that he experienced. If you don't take care of your body, where will you live? How could this have happened to me? I just remembering waking up with a Doctor looking at me. I didn't know where I was, who I was, or even, if I was (bad English, but it best describes how I felt). I was unable to walk, and I could barley even talk. Now to put this in better perspective, one week before my collapse, I put my hands thru 22" of burning bricks, jumped and broke a board 9 ft. in the air with a kick. While Iaying on a bed of razor sharp nails, I had 100 lbs. of cement blocks broken off of my stomach, with a sledge hammer! Hi, I'm DR Stan Harris (Doctorate in Divinity, and a few credits away from a Doctorate of Naturopathic medicine) Here is my story, I use to travel 320 days a year in Evangelism (I've spoken in all 50 States and 14 foreign Countries), and I averaged about 4 hours sleep a night for over 18 years of my life. I was very zealous (I must have thought I was going to save the world all by myself), but out of balance, and deceived into thinking that if I looked okay, I was healthy. In a nutshell I neglected, and even abused my body with lack of proper rest, junk food, undue stress, etc. No, I did not drink, smoke, chew, or run with those who do, but I had reaped what I had sown! I ignored my health, and it went away! I burned out! I lost my health, and now I was told that I would never speak again! If this could happen to a Black belt Hall of Fame, Karate Champion, it could happen to you as well if you don't take proper care of your body. I looked okay on the outside, ( I did martial arts) but health is based on your internal organs, and state of mind. Aren't you sick and tired of being sick, and tired? God graciously gave me another chance after I changed my diet, rest patterns, attitude, etc.! Please allow me to give you Five Essentials for Ultimate Health. 1) Food Did you know that you can't put dead food in a living body (Temple) and expect to get life out of it? Death begets death, and life begets life! Anything boxed, baked, in a can etc., has had the life force taken out of it, so eat as much food as you can, the way God made it. Eat more fruits, vegetables, nuts and salads. You are what you eat, digest, and assimilate. Slow down when you eat, chew your food instead of taking two bites and swallowing like I use to do. I ate the wrong things (fast or junk food), at the wrong time (late night), the wrong way (not chewing properly), for the wrong reasons (emotional hug when depressed, rewarding my self). It would be wise take some good supplements because the nutritional value in our foods today are not what they were in the past. 2) Water You need purified water daily. Most of us are dehydrated. Drink 3 glasses of water consecutively when you feel depression coming on and see how you feel. We all know we need to drink at least eight, 8 oz glasses of water a day, but how many of us know that we get rid of, or lose about eight, 8 oz. of water a day thru urine, sweat etc. Anything carbonated or caffeinated causes you to lose fluids. If you could take half of your body weight, and convert that to oz., and drink that much purified water (8 to 10 oz. at a time) daily, you would be amazed at the results! (i.e., 200 lb person should try to drink 100 oz). The by products of chlorinated water are cancer causing, so get a purifier for your shower, or bath since we absorb about a pound or two of water when we bathe. 3) Air You can go a month without food, a week without water, but only a few minutes without air. The EPA says that we spend 90% of our time indoors. 64,000 die annually from the results of polluted indoor air, and breathing in particulate. We breathe 21,000 times per day, you have 100 Trillion cells, and every minute about 300 million cells are dying and being replaced. The dead cells flake off and float into the air. 80% of what you see in the air of your home or office when the sun shines, is dead skin. On that dead skin is a thing called a dust mite. Half of all illnesses are caused by polluted indoor air according to the American College of Allergist. this is the only time in history when it's safer to live outside than in your own home. A lot of people suffer from Sick building Syndrome. Get out side as often as possible, breathe, in your nose (...and breathed into his nostrils, the breathe of life. Gen 2:7b), and out of your mouth, use your diaphragm when you breathe, just like a baby, your stomach should expand when you breathe, not your chest area! 4) Attitudes It's your attitude, not your aptitude, that determines your altitude. Most people need a check up from the neck up! Someone said people are suffering from Stinkin, thinkin! Get rid of sustained anger, bitterness, grudges etc. The #1 killer they say is anger! Learn to forgive people, circumstances, and even your self! Bitterness does more harm to the vessel in which it is stored, than the victim on whom it's poured. When you hate, you hurt your self the most. Don't drink the poison of bitterness, and expect someone else to die! Also, Learn to cultivate the attitude of gratitude, just give thanks for all that you have! 5) Activities Engage in aerobic exercises (Ecclesiastes 10:18 By much slothfulness, the building (body-health) decayeth, and thru idleness of the hands, the house droppeth through). Exercise helps us to take deep breaths, and sweating, allows the body to expel toxins. Prayer, (... Prayer, is good preventative medicine, as well as when in desperate need of healing. Why not walk, and pray, as well as take deep breaths all at the same time! Laughter, Norman cousins wrote a book "Laugh your way to Health - The Anatomy of an illness. The average baby laughs 5,500 per week, the average adult averages 50 or less times per week. Laughter is like a powerful drug, yet it is so inexpensive, use it often, or else! I use to tell my children, cheer up, you'll soon be dead, because you can't get out of this life alive anyway! I have a question for you, If you didn't know how old you are, how old would you be? Let me explain. We live in a fast-moving, success-driven, “quick fix” oriented society. Encountering disappointment, under performance or outright failure it is something that can feel like a punch to the gut. Perhaps you launched what you thought was an awesome program, but didn’t get the sign-ups you wanted. You booked the room for your workshop and only 2 people besides your mom showed up. Maybe you did “all the right things” by your children, but one of them ends up hanging out with the wrong crowd and getting into trouble anyway. Or you’ve just found yourself in the most amazing relationship, only to discover your partner has cold feet about taking things to the next level of connection. In every sphere of life there will be moments where our conviction to stand confidently in our brilliance and stay true to our heart will be tested. If we’re not careful, the Gremlin I call “The Pushover” can show up to derail you. The Pushover wants you to run for the hills and take cover in the safety of your normal routines. The Pushover takes the wind out of your sails to deter you from stepping boldly into a new ventures, relationships or experiences. But having a strong Brilliance Backbone ™ means your Conviction vertebra is healthy and flexible so you can regroup after a setback. You are willing to stand your ground. It’s what helps you bring life to ideas or plans that fly in the face of conventional wisdom or criticism from naysayers. To keep that Conviction part of your Brilliance Backbone ™ in strong working order, you need to regroup and do it quickly. Here are 5 keys to help you regroup from failure and turn setbacks into solid success. Key #1 – Breathe Dealing with failure or rejection feels like a threat to our safety at some level. So our good old “flight or fight” response gets triggered. With all that adrenalin rushing through our body it’s hard to think clearly about anything! Taking some deep belly breaths for even just a minute will help short-circuit your reactivity that comes when our reptilian brain gets triggered. Deep breathing allows you to access your prefrontal cortex that governs your decision-making capabilities. Key #2 – Regroup The Chinese have a proverb – “Fall down seven times, get up eight.” When things don’t go as you’d planned, the ability to pick yourself up and keep on going is key. Rather than see failure or disappointment as a sign from the Universe to stop altogether, view it as an opportunity to gather the additional wisdom and resilience you need to move more powerfully into lasting success. Choose to regroup, rather than stay stuck and gripe. Key #3 – Pan Back and Get the Big Picture You worked so hard, had such great intentions and yet you still got rejected. Sometimes the sting of failure feels so personal because the Pushover tends to lose sight of the big picture. Imagine you’re the director of this movie called “Your Life” and it’s time to “Pan back” the cameras to get the wide-angle shot. Choosing to see the bigger picture helps you remember your vision, your Brilliant WHY. Connecting to who you’re meant to serve, or the love and truth you want to have in your life, can help get you ready and motivated to get back in the game. Key #4 – The W-W-W Formula Now that you’ve got the bigger perspective, it’s time to use the W-W-W Formula. Objectively assess the following questions: W – What worked? W – What didn’t work? W – What would you do differently the next time? Engage your brilliant brain into answering these questions and just watch how quickly your Pushover gets crowded out of your awareness. These answers invoke rich, straight-forward insights and data points that will help you make needed course corrections. Key #5 – Give Yourself Permission to Fail Failure is a necessary ingredient of our brilliance and success. Let’s give up the need for perfectionism and the myth of instant success. What if Mother Nature had decided that evolution and natural selection weren’t such good ideas? Our world would be robbed of so much beauty and diversity if Mother Nature was a perfectionist, unwilling to experiment and evolve along the way. Give yourself permission to fail. Make it your intention to fail quickly and often. That way you can gather up so much wisdom and polishing to take with you so you can step forward in greater strength and brilliance the next time.

Harris, MA, MFT Are you, or anyone you know, struggling with feelings of anxiety because of money? It’s a safe bet the answer is “Yes!” Normally I say finances and abundance issues are connected to self-esteem but right now there is such a major economic shift going on and for many people money stress is connected to having difficulty with the changing financial structure. People are feeling out-of-control and fearful. This issue has become so prevalent that now MAD is getting known as the acronym for Money Anxiety Disorder. It’s reaching almost epidemic proportions with the current economic climate. According to a survey in October of the American Psychological Association, “80% of us find the recent financial crisis a significant cause of stress—up from 66% last April—and women are bearing the brunt of the worry.” Some of the symptoms of stress and Money Anxiety * Pervasive sense of panic and fear or depression and futility * Effecting health, putting you at higher risk for a host of ailments * High blood pressure * Heart disease Some less serious side effects are sleep disorders, increase in all kinds of addictions, digestive problems and eating disorders, including weight loss and more frequently, weight gain. This anxiety is the result of uncertainty, not knowing what the future holds and creating worst case scenarios in our minds. Then many create limiting beliefs in their mind and remain focused on all the doom and gloom around us. According to the Law of Attraction, LOA, this type of thinking results in self-fulfilling prophecies which keep attracting disastrous evidence to prove our emotional perceptions. Consequently, we end up spiraling rapidly downhill, eventually hitting the bottom. “You attract to your life whatever you give energy, attention, and focus to, whether wanted or unwanted.” ~ Michael Losier, author of The Law of Attraction So what does one do? You can stop your own struggle and begin to rebuild. Your foundation for this is made up of your potential, strengths, abilities, and resourcefulness. Your fear is what you need to combat and change. It takes an inner warrior, or the Feminine Warrior as I call it, to empower yourself and turn this situation around. Times like this can be your greatest gift, even though a challenge. It might even bring about creative solutions by thinking outside the box, which feelings of safety do not encourage. Usually any major achievement, breakthrough or change is preceded by confusion and even overwhelm. Uncertainty is frequently the gateway for new ideas and creativity, so welcome them, even if they are not comfortable. History has shown that great wealth has been made during depressions by those who are willing to embrace the unknown and change. Imagine you are one of them. STEPS TO COMBAT MONEY ANXIETY DISORDER Science has proved exercise and meditation are two of the best ways to combat stress and anxiety. There are a number of processes I’ve already suggested in my article Stress Success Quickies, found on my website. The #1 Secret to combating Money Anxiety, and perhaps all anxiety, is breathing, deep, slow breaths. Deep breathing takes you from the Sympathetic Nervous System to the Parasympathetic Nervous System. This means you go from the fight/flight space to the warm, peaceful place. Calming Breath – Begin with a 4-count breathing, in through the nose, out through the mouth. Later you can increase the length of each count, first to 5, then to 6, etc. Start with 5 breaths. 1. Breathe in to the count of four 2. Hold 3. Breathe out 4. Hold Belly Breathing – In through the nose, out through the mouth 1. Put a hand on your upper chest and belly, to keep the chest still. 2. Breathe in, letting your belly blow up like a balloon. 3. Breathe out. 4. This one is the great for turning around all anxiety. DISCOVER AND HEAL YOUR MONEY ANXIETY ISSUES 1. Write down your specific money anxiety issues now. Bad choices or investments and you lost money You lost your job You didn’t save enough money when you had it coming in, etc. 2. What feelings and emotions come up from these issues? I feel stupid about money I can’t forgive myself for . . . . . I lost all that money on. . . . . . and feel terrible now. 3. What main abundance goals do you want to experience differently? I want $1,000, $15,000 or whatever it is for you, in my savings account. I want to feel comfortable financially so I can do what I want without thinking about money. I want to create . . . . product(s) in my business and bring in $_____ a month. Imagine your next goal, not the biggest one you want, but the next goal in 3 months. 4. Then use Emotional Freedom Technique, EFT, emotional acupuncture, hypnosis and EMDR, to quickly release these negative beliefs and emotions. 5. Using the LOA, visualize your future self coming through this time period better than you were going into it. Feel the energy and emotions as you do this. Imagine the new skills you’re developing. See yourself totally successful looking back on this time period. Enjoy the feelings of empowerment and success from your internal shift, Consider what your next most important step is that leads toward the future success that is yours. Feel how excited you are to take that step and you'll be on your way to achieving it. Once you can imagine it with all the energy and emotions, you can achieve it. So give up the struggle now. Say yes to your current experience, tune into your inner wisdom and your brain will switch into success and abundance mode!
