Something Completely Different - Langenfeld EMIL concert (pre-release tracks 2003)

A live recording of a studio rehearsal for the Langenfeld EMIL concert -

02 Blulti - Nice multi on the Q+, made by Robert van der Kamp with Grand Piano added
(In this version I used samples).
03 Spirit part 2 - I play the mellotron-alike trumpets and the solo in the end.
04 Q in the Rain - Completely live played multi on the Q .
05 Marathon 2 - I play the Fender Rhodes alike sound in the beginning and the "far away"
lead in the second part. Also I added drums, choir from the Q and a WAVE-sequence in the
backingtrack, so it became quite different from the original.
06 Silent Nights - Various sounds are played here by me. From the Q , the WAVE and the XT.
07 Marathon 4 - In this one I play various sounds here again: pianosamples on the Emulator
and sounds from the Q and WAVE. There are also drums added aux contraire the original version
08 Exponential Disaster - I play various sounds in this song from the WAVE and the Q . Oh
and the Minimooglead not to forget! :-)
09 Space - This is a complete live track. It uses as a basis a Q+ multi. Furthermore you can hear
a Doepfer sequence driven by the Q+, the Machinedrum, the Emulator, the WAVE and the Minimoog.
10 Gooseskin - This is a new, unreleased track. I play WAVE, Emulator and Q+ on this one.
11 The Return - I played this one on the emulator. The real concert version will be
played on Grand Piano, of course... :-)
12 Last Gate - Added an intro and outtro, play the Q+ and the mellotronflute.

This is the music of Boele Gerkes, the dutch musician who sadly only released 3 Cds so far on the vanished Invisible Shadows label. He loves to play in the traditional Berlin School style with a lot of sequences and melodies in his music.
