Morten Birkeland Nielsen is a Norwegian electronic artist inspired by classic Berlin school music. He records as Breidablik, a name taken from Norse mythology, where it is one of the halls of Asgard. Initially a solo project, Breidablik later expanded to include Hakon Oftung (guitar) and Trond Gjellum (drums).

The band plays a mesmerizing instrumental mix of progressive space rock, trancy Berlin School-style sequencer based music and ambient atmospheres. Unlike other purely electronic bands, Breidablik uses a mix of synths, guitar, flute, and drums. The title of the album is a Faroese word that is translated as wave energy.
