Swedish duo consisting of Christoffer Johansson and David Johansson. They create great energetic electronic compositions with real drums and sequencer overkill. Sounds like a rockier Tangerine Dream or Zombi.

Another one of those "John Carpenter revival" projects, this time from the UK. This trio of Andrew Prestidge, Andy Thompson and Matt Thompson plays an analogue synth-based music that, apart from Carpenter, seems to be influenced by Goblin, Zombi and classic German EM.

Le Matos - Turbo Kid Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (2015)

Death Waltz Recordings dabble again in issuing another fantastic film score. Le Matos’ soundtrack to 2015’s Turbo Kid mimics the films loving look back to the 80’s post-apocalyptic golden age. This will certainly make your ears prick up if you love John Carpenter’s arpeggiated basslines, Daft Punk’s glistening reimagining of Tron, or any of the modern resurgence of synth pop from College to Chvrches.
