Dream Division - Lumarian (2023)
‘Lumarian’ is the ninth studio album from Tom McDowell’s prolific Dream Division band. Journeying through musical outer space on waves of textured synths that interweave with the distinctive saxophone tones of bandmate Jorja Chalmers, it feels like the soundtrack to some science fiction film that was never made.
Album tells a tale with a vampire biker seeking revenge in a post-fallout megalopolis. With "Lightbite", Max Roguish tell us a story of love and vengeance, using a musical language between retrowave and minimal-synth, where sombre melodies and romantic moments alternate. A very passionate album, overfilled of dark fascination for the night.
